REPORT: LaMarcus Aldridge was the last player LeBron drafted to his All-Star team

LaMarcus Aldridge says he was picked last by Team LeBron for Sunday's All-Star Game. But he's cool with it.

According to a report from ESPN, LaMarcus Aldridge was the last player chosen for Team LeBron at this weekend’s NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Among the complaints that fans had when the rosters of the two mixed-conference teams were drafted by Team LeBron and Team Stephen was that the draft wasn’t broadcast and we couldn’t see in what order each player was drafted.

But Aldridge confirmed to ESPN that he was the last player drafted.

"I'm not a flashy player. That's OK,” Aldridge told ESPN. "We're all All-Stars, so, at the end of the day, we should be thankful to be here. Picked first, picked last, it doesn't matter. We're all competitive, too. It won't be the easiest thing to be picked last, but at the end of the day, you're just happy to be here."

No matter where he was drafted, Aldridge deserves his spot. He’s absolutely carried the Spurs to the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference so far without Kawhi Leonard, who was coming into the season as an early favorite for MVP.

The six-time All-Star is having one of the best seasons of his career even as the Spurs have played long stretches without Leonard, Tony Parker, Rudy Gay, and now Dejoute Murray.

But let’s be honest. The All-Star game isn’t about watching big guys showcasing their half-court offensive skills. It’s about dynamic guards spending a full game wowing the crowd and each team trying to score 150 points.

Guys like Aldridge don’t really help with that, which is why it’s totally understandable that he was picked last.

It just goes to show how amazing it is that Tim Duncan once shared All-Star MVP honors with Shaq.
