The Steele Knights started the season 1-4, but have since won eight in a row. They’ve earned a spot in the state quarterfinals against undefeated Austin Westlake Saturday night at the Alamodome.
Five games into the season, though, it looked like they wouldn’t get that chance. But it was the faith of their leader, first-year head coach David Saenz, that helped the team stay the course.
