SAN ANTONIO -- An argument between roommates ended with one of them in jail and another stitched up, according to an arrest warrant.

Rodney Marshall, 51, was arrested Sunday.

The San Antonio Police Department said Marshall and his roommate were fighting over space in their home, and the argument got heated.

Police said Marshall stabbed his roommate in the leg. However, the warrant states the roommate was also trying to take his three-year-old son upstairs at the time he was stabbed.

The toddler was reportedly not injured. Police said Marshall tried to stab the roommate again and yelled, "You're lucky I didn't shoot and kill you last time."

The victim locked himself in his room with his son and called police.

Marshall left the home before police arrived, but he was caught four days later.

He was arrested on aggravated assault charges, according to the warrant.
