SAN ANTONIO -- A high-speed car chase in Alamo Heights reportedly led to a foot chase and eventually landed a woman in the hospital.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said the incident unfolded when deputies attempted to stop a woman for a traffic violation on Broadway around 9:45 p.m Thursday.

She took off and crashed into a tree on Wildrose Avenue. A man riding in the car with her reportedly took off and was caught a short time later.

Both were taken into custody, and the male suspect was behind bars Friday morning. The woman was reportedly taken to a local hospital for treatment for a leg injury.
