LIVE OAK, Texas -- A semi crash on southbound I-35 at Loop 1604 severely backed up traffic for a few hours Thursday morning.
A big rig reportedly caught fire around 5 a.m. KENS 5's crew at the scene reported it's not clear if a crash caused the fire, or if the fire triggered a crash.
Two people were transported from the scene in police cars to receive treatment for minor injuries, authorities told KENS 5.
One lane reopened around 6:15 a.m., after the roadway was shut down completely.
The Texas Department of Transportation was expected to help clear the scene and clean the highway.
Fire departments from Live Oak, Universal City and Selma all responded to the scene.
