SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Police Department said a man found another man with multiple stab wounds in his front yard around 4 a.m. Monday.

Police said officers responded to the 2500 block of Patron after a call for a cutting.

The man told police he heard two men arguing outside his home, and he saw them in his front yard when he looked out the window.

He went outside, but said by the time he got there, the victim was lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to the chest and face.

SAPD said the victim was not responsive and has not been identified.

He was transported to University Hospital and taken into surgery. Police said he was in critical condition at the time.

The homeowner also told police he does not know the victim and has reportedly never seen him before.
