SAN ANTONIO -- Police said a 45-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Fredericksburg and Babcock roads around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 at the scene the victim, Adriana Valadez, suffered life-threatening injuries when she was struck by an F150 while trying to cross Fredericksburg.
According to police, she is now in good condition.
Valadez said she was going to get a cup of coffee from an area convenience store and return to the bus stop across from that location.
Police said the driver who hit her did not see her as she crossed the road outside of a crosswalk wearing a dark-colored work uniform.
That driver is not expected to be criminally charged, according to police.
Valadez was also able to talk to police before leaving the scene. She reportedly couldn't remember details about the crash.
Most of Fredericksburg headed toward downtown was shut down near the Babcock intersection.
