CONVERSE - A woman was found stabbed to death at a Converse apartment parking lot early Thursday morning.

Around 4 a.m. Thursday, Converse police were called to Towne East Apartments in the 9000 block of West Farm to Market Road 78 for multiple disturbance calls.

The Converse Police Chief said tenants called police after a woman had been banging on multiple doors asking for help. Police said tenants didn’t open their doors in fear it could be a hoax or someone trying to break into their homes.

By the time the police arrive to the apartment complex, they found the woman lying unconscious on an apartment landing with multiple stabs wounds.

Police said they found a car in the parking lot that could be related to the victim and be a possible crime scene. Apartment management and tenants told police they are unfamiliar with the car.

Officials on scene said they believe the woman is not a tenant and stopped at the apartment complex for help.

The victim’s age or ethnicity has yet to be released by police.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
