A Floresville woman said she is desperate, offering a reward and a warning after her beloved puppy was stolen from her truck.

Deannie Miller posted her plea to the community and thieves that stole her 9-month-old dachshund, Romeo, on Sunday.

As of Wednesday, Romeo was still missing.

Miller said she and her boyfriend were traveling back from Harper, Tx. when they stopped at the Red Lobster in the 5800 block of North Loop 1604 W in San Antonio to grab a bite.

Miller said they left Romeo in the truck with a window cracked for about 30 minutes while they ate inside.

When they came outside, a back passenger window of her boyfriend’s 2016 Chevrolet Silverado was smashed and everything valuable inside was gone, including Romeo.

Miller said that along with her irreplaceable pup, multiple other valuable items were taken including cash, checkbooks, a gun, and a Yeti cooler. Her purse containing her car keys was also stolen and her luggage was ransacked.

“This is also about warning others of being safe in a parking lot and do not leave any valuables in the vehicle, no matter how short of a time,” Miller said.

If you have any information on Romeo’s whereabouts or suspects in the robbery, please contact the San Antonio Police Department at (210) 207-7425 or email KENS 5 at iwitness@kens5.com.
