A vigil was held at Milton High School, Sunday, for the victims of last week’s deadly Florida school shooting.
The vigil, held more than 600 miles away from Parkland, Florida, included a group of students and staff who said prayers for the victims and released balloons in their honor. They also took a moment to sign a card for each of the 17 people killed in the shooting.
11Alive's Ryan Kruger was at the vigil and spoke to one speaker, Smera Dhal, who had a lot in common with the community in Florida so deeply touched by gun violence.
