SAN ANTONIO — A water main break on the city's northeast side that left two North East Independent School District campuses and surrounding neighborhoods without water has been isolated and service restored, according to a spokesperson with the San Antonio Water System
KENS 5 confirmed at 9 AM Wednesday with SAWS and NEISD that a water main break was reported in the area of Highway 281 and Evans Road.
Encino Park Elementary and Tejeda Middle School were without water for thirty minutes before service was restored at 9:30 AM
The NEISD spokesperson said the district enacted a "contingency plan" to provide drinking water and water for flushing toilets.
Lunch will be prepared at nearby schools for affected students.
