SAN ANTONIO - More than 110 students from Northside Independent School District's Construction Careers Academy spent two years building four tiny homes on custom trailers.
The tiny homes are anywhere from 160-224 sq. ft. and feature fully-functional showers and kitchens.
Wednesday, industry judges and judges from the district evaluated the students' homes.
Students had designated jobs based on their educational track in school, like plumbing and engineering.
Each home featured a different country theme.
The homes will be auctioned off on May 20. Tours of the homes will be available.
The TV show "Tiny House Nation" also purchased one of the homes and plans to donate it to a disabled veteran.
"It makes me feel very proud, honestly. We put a lot of work into this, and we really [hope] that the person that's going to be living here appreciates what we did. We take pride in our work," said Daniel Parron, one of the students.
