SAN ANTONIO-- Strong storms packing quite the punch passed through our viewing area Sunday morning.

Those far west in Del Rio were some of the first to get hit with the rain.

“The rain got very heavy very thick real quick. We had to act pretty fast. Overall we’ve had about 23 vehicle rescues and we also had five homes that had to be evacuated,” Del Rio Police Department, Capt. Fred Knoll said.

Luckily there were no injuries reported in Del Rio.

Meanwhile, pellets of hail and lighting continued to move inwards to the Hill Country and Bexar County

“Avoid any kind of driving through any kind of standing water and moving water especially,” Joe Harrington of the San Antonio Fire Department said.

However, the storm moved out as fast as it came.
