National Geographic is inviting its readers to “party like it’s 1718” by visiting San Antonio.

The Alamo City made the list of the magazine's “Places you need to visit in 2018”. San Antonio joins 20 other premiere travel destinations from around the world.

The description in the post lovingly mentions the upcoming Tricentennial Celebration, honoring the city’s 300th birthday.

“Three centuries of history inspired San Antonio to throw a big-as-Texas Tricentennial Celebration. Join the year-long party at the kickoff New Year’s Eve concert and fireworks extravaganza or at any of more than 550 scheduled arts and cultural events,” the description said.

The post also includes a “fun fact” about a major source of pride for San Antonians: The five San Antonio Missions comprise Texas’ first World Heritage site.

Other travel destinations on the list include Oaxaca, Mexico, The Netherlands, Santiago, Chile, and Madagascar.

Cleveland, Ohio and the North Shore of Oahu are the only other U.S. destinations on the list.
