SAN ANTONIO – It’s National Cat Day, the purr-fect day to open the new San Antonio Cat Café.

The founder, Casey Steuart, officially opened the café located at 10458 Sentinel Street on Sunday.

The nonprofit hopes to help connect the furry animals with cat lovers to find them the perfect home.

A total of 34 cats call the café home.

“Cats are my daughter’s favorite animals, but we don't have any so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to come and spend time with them,” Sara Aguilar said.

The non-profit requires a $10- $12 admission fee to help pay for day to day operations.
