SAN ANTONIO -- Part of the George Gervin Youth Center was damaged from a road rage incident early Monday morning.

Now, police are trying to figure out who hit the building and left their vehicle at the scene.

Finding out who the vehicle belongs to will be easy, it is proving who was behind the wheel that's another story.

The path the truck took to crash into the Gervin Youth Center building on the city's east side is still obvious. A fence is knocked down and part of the building is in disrepair.

Police said two trucks in a road rage incident caused the damage. The vehicles were headed south on Gevers Street when the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Monday, according to police.

One of the trucks hit a dip, crashed through the fence and hit the youth center in the 1100 block of Denver Boulevard.

Witnesses said the people inside of the truck ran from the scene. Police said the trucks was not drivable, but the second truck kept going.

The George Gervin Youth Center, of course, has a larger location on San Antonio’s northeast side. The center, founded by the San Antonio Spurs legend, helps everyone from the children to elderly.

No word on a damage amount here or if this will affect services rendered out of this building.
