SAN ANTONIO – The search for the driver in a deadly hit and run continued Monday morning after the victim was left for dead on the side of the highway.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on April 9 on the access road of Interstate 35 North in Live Oak in front of Jordan Ford.

A driver in Honda Accord stuck 28-year-old Joshua Lane who was riding his bike. Lane was hit so hard he was thrown from his bike and landed in a grassy area.

The driver then sped away without stopping.

A woman called police after spotting Lane's body a short time later.

Investigators said evidence at the scene indicated the suspect was in 2016 or 2017 Accord with damage to the front bumper.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
