They are the dynamic trio: Six-year-old Serenity, four-year-old Jada and seven-year-old Xavier love seeing each other on outings.

The siblings spent one afternoon at a northwest-side park in San Antonio playing hide and seek. They enjoy swinging on the playground swings, making a competition out of who can swing the highest.

Who's getting higher? asked Serenity.

The children are very close despite living in separate foster homes. I took it [apart]. One for you and one for Xavier, Jada said as she shared some stickers she found on the ground with her brother and sister.

Their energy level is pretty high, making their conversations quite spirited.

I have a pet, Jada said. Serenity finished her little sister's thought for her. We have Oreo, the cat, [and] Luxy!

The three tried to squeeze in as much fun as they could while they were together on this afternoon.

How about Serenity goes to my house and Serenity can play with me? Jada suggested.

Their case worker said the children look forward to one day having a forever family that will bring them together permanently.

They're all each other has. They're their only family. They are not going to have any other family they can go to. When they are together, they are always going to be there, the caseworker said.

It would be fun playing with each other every day, Serenity said.
