KENS 5 is dedicated to helping area children find a forever home through our series Are You My Family?

Meet 15-year-old Esther Flores and her little brother, 11-year-old Jacob Cruz. The sister and brother want to stay together as part of a new family.

If I'm away from her, I get sad and lonely, Jacob says.

Both are looking for a family -- not separately, but together. Esther and Jacob are all each other has, and they don't want to be separated.

He's the only person that s right here with me. The only person I talk to, Esther says.

Esther is in the 10th grade. She is a good student and is active in music, participating in her school's orchestra by playing the violin. Esther wants to be a radiologist and says she likes helping people.

Jacob is all boy. He likes playing video games, riding his bike and playing football. His favorite team is the Green Bay Packers.

Esther and Jacob's CPS caseworker says the two have been in the agency's care since 2005.

Separately, they may have already been placed in a forever home, but they want to stay together. Who could blame them?

Esther and Jacob would make a great addition to any family.
