It’s been a month since 16-year-old Crista Mason was last seen by her family. While the San Antonio Police Department is still searching for the teen, her family is anxiously waiting for answers.

“Thanksgiving was not the same without you,” said Mason’s grandmother, Anavie Garcia. “Christmas is coming up and we want you here. We just want you here with us, where you belong.”

This holiday season just hasn’t been the same for Mason’s family.

“I feel that she’s trying to get back home but she can’t,” Garcia added. “When you have someone in your life and they disappear and you don’t hear from them, it’s like you lose someone and you’re lost yourself because that person is gone, that person is lost. I know in my heart Crista is alive and I want her back.”

SAPD is working on Crista’s case but has no leads yet. She was last seen on November 15 in the 9600 block of Bratton Avenue. The 16-year-old was wearing a maroon dress shirt, black tights, and black sneakers the last time she was seen.

The family says that one month is too long. Garcia says that her Christmas wish is to get her girl back.

“Crista has family that loves her and cares about her and we’re very worried about her,” she said. “We just need to know she’s okay. I need to hear her voice.”

If you have any information on Crista’s whereabouts or think you may have seen her, you are urged to call police.
