San Antonio dodged a severe weather bullet earlier this week but according to the National Weather Service, the area is not yet out of the woods.

NWS was reporting a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms for all of South Central Texas possible Saturday into early Sunday, as a cold front approaches overnight Friday.

The largest risks associated with the severe weather are hail up to the size of a golf ball, or 1.75 inches, 60 mph wind gusts, and 1 to 3 inches of rainfall with some areas seeing a possible 4 to 5 inches through Tuesday.

The rain was expected to continue through Tuesday, but the threat for severe weather is greatly diminished after Saturday.
