LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers located at the Laredo Port of Entry seized cocaine valued at more than $196,000 during a routine vehicle examination.
The officers seized the drugs on Oct. 13 at the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge, according to a press release. A 20-year-old man from Laredo was driving the Buick Skylark when CBP officers inspected the car.
The officers discovered 10 packages containing a total of 25.44 pounds of alleged cocaine. CBP said the estimated street value was $196,180.
The driver was arrested and is now under investigation.
