MEDINA COUNTY — Medina County officials say the death of a two-year-old boy is under investigation. Three people were arrested from the home, but it appears their charges are not related to the baby’s death.

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office says a toddler was reported not breathing at a home in D’Hanis around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Paramedics tried to revive the child, but he was pronounced dead at the home. The boy was taken to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officials say the child’s mother, Rebecca Pargas, was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants, including a motion to revoke probation on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child through criminal negligence.
