SAN ANTONIO – After two years, an arrest has been made in a brutal February 2015 murder case.

On February 20, 2015, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of Shadwell just before 8 a.m. where 21-year-old Steven Cerna was found shot to death.

Cerna's body was found in a drainage ditch known as "Hell's Gate" just one block away from Longfellow Middle School around 8 a.m. and police said he suffered several gunshot wounds to his head.

Over two years later, 20-year-old Robert Martinez has been charged in the death of Cerna.

Authorities said the shooting was drug-related.
