A man was arrested after he rammed his vehicle into a police car during a traffic stop off Wetmore Road and Wurzbach Parkway Wednesday morning.

Authorities said 41-year-old Rodolfo Davila Martinez was operating a vehicle that was partially up a curb causing a traffic hazard around midnight.

When a detective activated his emergency lights and approached the car, Martinez put his vehicle in reverse slamming into the patrol car.

The suspect attempted to flee the scene making a U-turn onto Wurzbach and proceeded to go the wrong way for about five miles.

Cops chased Martinez going westbound on Wurzbach and the driver finally stopped near North West Military Highway in Castle Hills.

Martinez was arrested and charged with DWI, evading arrest, and failure to stop and give information to an officer.

Neither the officer nor suspect were injured.
