SAN ANTONIO, TX-- Combine a chocolatier and a bakery and you get Delice.
Days start early at Delice Chocolatier and patisserie.
Handmade sweets, cakes and macaroons keep Susana Mijares and her husband, Ignacio Aguirre, busy.
"We've been doing this all our lives. Ever since I was a little girl I always knew I wanted to make this. Bake chocolates. Bake cakes," Delice owner, Susana Mijares said.
Mijares studied at the famed La Cordon Bleu in Paris.
"I studied the cooking and the baking, but my heart was always on the sweet side," Mijares said.
The couple opened their first bakery in Mexico City, then in 2011, they brought the family recipes and opened their doors in Stone Oak
"Here you can say we are where chocolate meets a bakery," Delice, owner, Ignacio Aguirre said.
"We are a fusion of French culture, Mexican culture and American. We try to marry everything together," Mijares said.
Everyday Susana and her team melt down different types of Belgian chocolate.
Cooling it to the perfect temperature then one-by-one filling each piece of sweet perfection.

"It's made with a lot of heart. And we love [so] much what we do, and every time we come here to work it's like the best feeling because it's something we enjoy a lot," Mijares said.
"Just come over see what we have. We made everything with passion. We made everything from scratch. Very high quality ingredients and we would love to meet you,”Aguirre said.
