Central Texas is facing a heat advisory until 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to get between 94 degrees to 102 degrees.

The heat index will range between 105 degrees and 109 degrees.

The NWS advises that you bring pets indoors or provide adequate shade for them.

The elderly and those with health problems are the most susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

You should schedule any outdoor activities or work in the early morning hours or evening.
