SAN ANTONIO - For the third time this week, there was a chase through Bexar County involving deputies.
This time it ended in a crash.
An innocent woman's day crashed to a halt when a man being chased by Bexar County deputies slammed into her SUV at Loop 410 and East Houston Street.
Officials said the chase started when the driver of a sedan sped away when a deputy tried to stop to ask why his car had no front license plate.
The car wasn't stolen, but during the pursuit, deputies said the driver and his passenger appeared to be throwing items from the car.
That led them to believe drugs were involved.
Deputies said they did find a large wad of cash and drug-related items in the car.
Deputies had EMS look at the suspect driving the car because they believe he may have been ingesting evidence during the chase, but cleared him after they said he appeared to be fine.
The driver was taken into custody at the crash site. They said his passenger was caught after a short foot chase through a nearby neighborhood.
The woman was treated for minor injuries and her male passenger was not hurt.
Deputies said since they found about $2,000 in the car, they will do a thorough search for narcotics before deciding what felony charges the suspects will face.
