SAN ANTONIO – One man experienced a horrible encounter at a store where millions of people shop every day.

An elderly San Antonio man was attacked just feet from the entry of the Walmart Supercenter at De Zavala Road on Feb. 22.

It doesn't look like the victim knew his attacker, according to the statement he gave police.

Police arrested 38-year-old David Morgan in connection with the attack.

The 70-year old man claimed as he walked into the store Morgan yelled at him and this pushed him to ground.

The victim's head was hurt in the attack and he was rushed to the hospital, according to an affidavit.

Investigators said Morgan had a different story.

He claimed the elderly man yelled at him and feared for his life, so he pushed him down. However, surveillance video supports the victim's claim.

Morgan was booked into the Bexar County Jail Tuesday night and is facing a charge of injury to the elderly.
