SAN ANTONIO – A 7-year-old boy was shot twice in the arm while lying in his bed on the city’s east side, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. in the 360 block of Charcliff Drive when officials were called for a shooting and trauma response.
Police said five people were in the east-side home, including the 7-year-old victim when shots rang out.
Officials said the boy was laying in his bed when he was shot twice in the upper arm.
The 7-year-old was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said no one else in the house was hit and neighbors reported to authorizes that there were up to 16 shots fired. A neighboring house was also hit.
There are no known suspects at the time, according to police.
