The VIA Metropolitan Transit Agency released video of a fight that took place on a VIA bus in March. The video shows a man hitting a woman and dragging her off the bus.

The incident took place at 11:00 a.m. on the city's northwest side. You can see a man and a woman on a VIA bus arguing followed by the man punching the woman.

According to an SAPD report, witnesses say that the two got into a fight over which state, California or Texas, had better gangs. In the video, it appears that the other passengers on the bus remained seated during the fight.

The bus driver kicked off the two people involved in the altercation. The man with the cane was taken to police headquarters and later to the hospital.

In a statement to KENS 5, VIA Metropolitan Transit said that should an incident like this one happen, VIA bus operators act quickly to secure the vehicle and keep others from harm and that the operator handled the situation well.

While the woman walked away from the bus before SAPD arrived on scene, she was found a few hours later at a local hospital. Police say that neither person has been charged and the incident is still under investigation.
