SAN ANTONIO - Mayor Ivy Taylor confirmed that San Antonio is one of two cities in the running to become home to Hulu's expanded offices, following a meeting local leaders attended in Los Angeles Tuesday.

Hulu is a video streaming service that offers movies, television shows and original content.

“We are always actively pursuing companies throughout the U.S. and the world,” Taylor said. “In this case, we made a pitch for Hulu to expand to San Antonio and bring with it hundreds of good-paying, high tech jobs.”

Taylor's office said a potential deal with Hulu could mean 300 jobs coming to San Antonio in 2017, and up to 500 in the coming years.

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, Jenna Saucedo-Herrera, president & CEO of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, and tech industry leaders including David Heard of TechBloc also attended the LA meeting with Hulu.
