A man wanted for hitting a Windcrest police officer with a truck is behind bars.

On Wednesday evening, Dylan Thomas Guzman apologized to the officer and his family for his actions last week.

Windcrest police say that he hit the officer with his truck as he drove off from a traffic stop. Authorities were able to track Guzman on the south side on Wednesday.

They say that he was driving a stolen truck and was carrying a stolen rifle.

He was handcuffed after a brief struggle and is being booked on multiple charges as of Wednesday night.
