SAN ANTONIO - Police said a 33-year-old man was shot and killed after he attempted to buy speakers from a woman on the southeast side through the app OfferUp.
The victim in this case, Robert Serna, tried to purchase the speakers from 35-year-old Stephanie Lopez in the 700 block of Hot Wells on April 20.
During the exchange, police said a second suspect, 25-year-old Michael Henderson approached the victim and tried to steal property from him.
Subsequently, SAPD said Serna was shot during the exchange.
Henderson and Lopez were both charged with capital murder in connection with this incident. Police said OfferUp helped SAPD detectives get access to account information that led to Lopez' arrest.
