BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- A father is behind bars Wednesday after he was accused of injuring his son. This case reportedly started with baseball memorabilia.

Rolf Haugrud, 57, has been charged with injury to a child, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

An arrest affidavit states his seven-year-old son went to school Monday with a black eye.

When a teacher questioned the child, he reportedly told her his father put him in a closet and punched him in the eye because he thought the boy was playing with his baseball cards.

Haugrud reportedly told investigators he became "enraged" when he found his baseball cards lying outside in the driveway when he came home from work.

The affidavit states Haugrud admitted to throwing the child in a closet and said he hit the boy on the side of the head, possibly the eye, with an open palm.

Haugrud's bond has not been set, according to BCSO.
