Wednesday marked All Souls Day, the second day of El Dia de los Muertos. On Wednesday morning, the faithful poured into San Fernando Cemetery for a special mass.

Jacob Peralta crafted this skull to decorate his sister Melanie's grave, a tradition he's shared with his family since losing her to cancer 14 years ago. They feel a special bond with all the other families who gathered for All Souls Day.

Richard Corpos is the manager of the cemetery and helped organize the annual mass.

“Its tradition comes from Mexico. They even spend the night and bring food for the dead,” Corpos said.

Little ones also attended as families prayed and visited grave sites. The holiday, considered a celebration of life, is a reminder to appreciate each day for Peralta.
