There was only one Mega Millions ticket sold that won a jackpot worth $450 million. And the person holding the ticket is a 20-year-old kid from Florida.
Shane Missler bought a quick-pick Mega Millions ticket at a 7-Eleven and realized that his life was about to change forever a couple of hours after the drawing.
"If there is one thing I have learned thus far in my short time on this earth it is that those who maintain a positive mindset and stay true to themselves get rewarded," said Missler in a story from the Tampa Bay Times. "I look forward to the future."
Rather than the annuity payments, Missler took the lump sum, so he’s about to be richer by a figure of $281,874,999.
Lottery officials told the Tampa Bay Times that the money will be paid to a trust, set up with Missler as the managing member, called "Secret 007, LLC,” which is definitely a name that a 20-year-old would come up with.
