Tucker’s Kozy Korner, a popular bar and brunch spot rich with history plans to reopen on Friday under new ownership.
The bar closed its doors back in August and Jeret Pena decided to jump at the opportunity.
“I came here 10 years ago and I saw the place and I fell in love," Pena said.
The bar is known for its live music and southern brunch and the new owner says that he plans on keeping the tradition alive.
“What we're going to be focusing on is good southern cuisine, fried chicken, biscuits.” Pena described. “You’re going to see fried chicken and waffles, mac and cheese. It's just good old comfort food, really."
A pig roast will kick off the grand opening from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Friday. There will be a $5 cover charge and all proceeds will go to the San Antonio AIDS Foundation.
