Blossoms 'pop-up' in Stone Oak Flower Vault

The Flower Vault in Stone Oak is considered the most Instagramable spot in San Antonio.

Open up the Flower Vault in Stone Oak and you're transported into a garden of creative poses and carefully chosen outfits.

It took Estefania Quirino nearly an hour to choose her dress.

"I think I looked through four more [outfits], and I was contemplating between jeans and something a little more girly," she said.

That type of consideration isn't unusual for people visiting the Flower Vault. This Stone Oak spot has five rooms filled to the brim with blossoms. The pop-up shop capitalizes on people's love for the camera, according to the owner Robbie Forrest.

"People love pictures. Instagram is a big deal," Forrest said. "We say it's five Instagramable rooms with a big gigantic backdrop where you can have fun and play."

The Flower Vault is temporary. Forrest says his pop-up shop will likely close its doors in May.

That's three months of play following the six months it took Forrest and his wife to brainstorm and construct the colorful walls.

But it's that hard work that has created, what some people call, the "most Instagramable spot" in San Antonio.

However, visitors say that a trip to the vault is about more than racking up the likes on social media. Quirino compared the spot to a museum.

"It's like art," she explained. "Not just to look at, but to take pictures with your family."

Another visitor said that the art medium enhances San Antonio culture.

"This is more like a place that I would see where I'm from, in California," Christine O'Donnell said. "Since San Antonio's growing into a more progressive city, I can see places like this popping up. But I think this is definitely leading the way."
