SAN ANTONIO – Honeysuckle Teatime, known for their elaborate and gorgeous milkshakes, is paying homage to the Queen of Tejano this Friday.

During a free screening of ‘Selena’ at San Antonio Museum of Art this Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Honeysuckle will be selling Selena Milkshakes.

Owner Sara Lauren Hinojosa said Honeysuckle has been operating as a catering business for about a year and hosting milkshake pop-ups since Oct. 2016.

“We’re kind of exclusive. We don’t have a location or anywhere that we work out of, so we work with other places that are having events. Basically, we bring our entire setup to different places in San Antonio," she said.

For other special shakes and for more information on when their next pop-up is, you can follow their Instagram or Facebook. The events often sell out.

"We usually announce it a week before where we will be. On our newsletter, we’ll send you a calendar of where we’re going to be and a ticket link," Hinojosa said.
