NEW BRAUNFELS – The Comal River has officially reopened for business!
Starting at noon on Tuesday, the Comal River in New Braunfels is open for all recreation including tubing, according to New Braunfels Police Department Facebook page.
Around 11:30 a.m., the NBPD stated the river was flowing at a level considered perfect for tubing condition just in time for Spring Break!
Crews have cleared out debris, such as tree limbs and branches, following the heavy rain. However, NBPD did state that river-goers should still be cautious that might not be visible under the water’s surface.
NBPD finished their post by encouraging everyone to use life vests when participating in any water-related activity.
