SAN ANTONIO - St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and it’ll be filled with music, fun, and lots of green!

Friday, March 17:

The Irish Pub

Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day like a lager early in the morning. In the spirit of the day, The Irish Pub will start their celebrations before noon.

Pat O’Brien’s

Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day than spending it at Pat O’s. Celebrate with LIVE music, dueling pianos, DJ's and drinks special for the day. From 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. they’ll have bands playing non-stop.

Harp & Shamrock Wreath Laying Ceremony

This year’s wreath laying will be the 50th presentation honoring the Irish heroes present at the Battle of the Alamo.

Time: Noon to 1 p.m.

Kennedy’s Public House

Opening at noon, Kennedy’s Public House will be serving green beer, Irish nachos and more specials throughout the day. There will even be a bagpipe band performing!

McFinnigan’s Pub

According to their Facebook, they have the sticker to prove that McFinnigan’s Pub is the official bar of St. Patrick’s Day in San Antonio! They’re holding their official block party with NO COVER. From car bombs to green beer they’ll be serving it all.

River Dying of the San Antonio River

The famous San Antonio River will be stripped of its name for the weekend as it is dyed green and renamed The River Shannon.

Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival (Day 1)

Festival goers will experience various Irish and Texan beer, food, arts and crafts, and games! The Harp & Shamrock Society’s will sponsor its “Passport to Ireland” interactive exhibit which offers genealogy research, history of early Irish Texans and much more. This festival is co-sponsored by Harp & Shamrock Society, Paseo del Rio Association and the City of San Antonio.

Time: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Conroy’s Irish Pub

Head on over to Conroy’s Irish Pub for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration! They’ll be celebrating the day with green beer, corned beef, and live music. They will even have a costume contest with cash prizes: 1st place wins $300, 2nd $200 and 3rd place wins $100.

Saturday, March 18

Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival (Day 2)

If you missed Day One, you have all day Saturday to Irish and Texan beer, food, arts and crafts, and games!

Time: Noon to 9 p.m.

Location: La Villita

Harp & Shamrock Music Festival

This event sponsored by Harp & Shamrock Society and Paseo del Rio Association will offer non-stop Irish bands, singers, and amazing dancers.

Time: 2 p.m.

Location: Arneson River Theatre in La Villita

Murphy’s St. Patrick’s Day River Parade

You don’t want to miss the only parade of its kind in the world! Experience 13 decorated barges filled with Irish bagpipes and drummers, Irish step dancers, music, singers, a Color Guard, Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas members as they head down the river.
