SAN ANTONIO – Calling all filmmakers! The San Antonio CineFestival is now taking entries for the 2017 annual film festival.

The Guadalupe announced in a press release that entries opened for the 39th Annual San Antonio CineFestival on Tuesday. The early deadline is Nov. 4 and the final deadline is Nov. 23.

The San Antonio CineFestival is the nation’s original and longest-running Latino film festival according to the press release. They are seeking the best Latino features, shorts, documentaries, animation, experimental films and youth works.

Entry fees vary depending on the deadline. The early fee is $20 for short films and $25 for feature length. The regular deadline fee is $30 for short films and $35 for feature length.

Interested filmmakers can submit their work online at FilmFreeway.

The annual film festival is Feb. 24, 2017 through March 4, 2017 at the Guadeloupe Theater. This nine-day event will not only feature screenings, but also workshops, panel discussions, gala celebrations and more.

Awards like Best Picture, Best Short, Best Documentary and Emerging Artist will also be presented.
