Local hard-rock band swept at 2018 Grammy Awards

A local hard rock band went home went home from the 2018 Grammy Awards empty-handed.

San Antonio's own Nothing More racked up three nominations for the 2018 awards. They faced off against rock giants Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age for the most prominent rock awards.

Nothing More's single, Go To War, was nominated for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. Their 2017 album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves nabbed a nomination for Best Rock Album.

Leonard Cohen won Best Rock Performance, while the Foo Fighters, with their song "Run," took home the trophy for Best Rock Song and The War on Drugs for Best Rock Album for their album A Deeper Understanding.

The Stories We Tell Ourselves peaked at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart last year.
