Jackson Floyd joined the KENS 5 Digital Team as a digital content producer in October 2017.
Originally from Nashville, Tenn., Jackson moved to San Antonio to attend Trinity University, where he graduated with a degree in communications.
While at Trinity, he served as station manager for the university’s television station, executive produced the station’s news show, and DJ’d a weekly indie music broadcast for KRTU, Trinity’s public radio station.
Jackson originally joined the KENS 5 newsroom as a video editor in 2012. He moved to Seattle in 2014 to join KING 5 Eyewitness News as a multi-platform video producer.
While with KING 5, Jackson managed the station’s YouTube channel, produced Facebook Live video segments and created social content for the station’s Facebook page. He also worked closely with the political and investigative teams to produce on-air and social content.
Jackson moved back to San Antonio in 2017 to be closer to family and tacos and joined the award-winning digital team at KENS 5.
When not at work, Jackson can often be found eating pizza or watching movies with his wife and rescue greyhound. He is also an avid musician and plays in several loud bands in dive bars around town.
