I joined KENS 5 Eyewitness News as a reporter in August 2016.
I’m fluent in Spanish and was born and raised just outside of Chicago in a household with strong Mexican roots. After living in the Midwest for more than two decades, I’m excited to call sunny Texas home.
Before joining KENS 5, I worked at ABC affiliate KEZI in Eugene, Ore., where I reported on a range of stories and assisted in the wall-to-wall coverage of the Umpqua Community College shooting in 2015, the deadliest shooting in Oregon's modern history.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
During my time in college, I caught the travel bug. I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile, and took time off to explore the world around me before diving into reporting.
My growing curiosity for culture and adventure took me on several journeys around the world. I’ve backpacked through four countries, meeting people of all walks of life who have inspired me with their stories.
During my free time, I love hiking, dancing and eating my way through the city.
