Trio San Antonio, one of San Antonio's finest resident trios, will perform at Trinity University. The group was formed in the early 1950s by the two Solis brothers, Chepe and John, who started playing together in downtown San Antonio's Market Square area. Trio San Antonio will perform boleros, cumbias, huapangos, and rancheras in Spanish. The even is all part of the music department's Legends of Texas Border Music Series. Robin Moore will present the lecture at 3 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2009. The concert will take place at the Art/Music Building Room 347. Also that night, Trio San Antonio will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Ruth Taylor Hall. Both concerts are free and open to the public. For more information call 210-999-8441.
