SAN ANTONIO – It’s official! On Monday, 35,427 people cast ballots for the first day of early voting in the 2016 presidential election.

This is a new record for Bexar County surpassing 2012’s day one record of 30,087 and 2008’s record of 29,119 votes.

There is still plenty of time to vote early with 43 locations in the San Antonio area. The good news is, you don’t have to go to your assigned precinct.

On Tuesday, elections administrators will be able to tell which voting sites move the quickest. They will have laptops inside every polling location to submit your vote in real-time to avoid voter fraud and to keep track of the traffic walking in and out of the sites.
