Natassia Paloma

Natassia Paloma is an award-winning journalist from El Paso. She joined KENS 5 in January 2017 as a multimedia journalist and producer.

Natassia is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. During her academic career, Natassia covered stories on both sides of the border and wrote for bilingual publication Borderzine and El Paso's first and oldest newsource, Newspaper Tree. Natassia ventured to Juarez, Mexico to cover stories amid the violence and immigration issues along the border. 

After UTEP, Natassia was breaking news, diversity and arts reporter for The Victoria Advocate in Victoria, Texas. Within months, she won a Texas Associated Press Managing Editors Award and a Headliners Foundation of Texas Award for Star Breaking News Report of the Year on a collaborative piece. 

Natassia then worked as an anchor and reporter at KAVU, KVCT in Victoria.

She led several investigations, including examination into a multi-million dollar agricultural scheme.

Natassia is an excited mother-to-be, and she's inspired by her grandmother, Palmira, her mother, Maria P., and her late father,  John.
